Sip & Paint Vol.2 : Sumi-e with Nora

Welcome to our Second Sip & Paint Workshop! We are delighted to host our second Sip & Paint workshop on Saturday 8th November from 5:30pm, featuring Nora Hamucska, a UK-based sumi-e artist and instructor! Sumi-e, also known as Suibokuga (水墨畫), is a meditative and minimalist art form originating from East Asia. It is characterised by expressive brushstrokes, the thoughtful use of negative space, and a monochromatic palette, typically using black ink. The practice aims to capture the spirit or essence of the subject rather than its detailed likeness. In this workshop, Nora will guide you through two seasonal motifs, teaching the fundamental techniques and philosophy behind sumi-e painting. A complimentary drink will be included to enjoy as you paint and unwind. We look forward to welcoming you to a relaxing and inspiring creative experience!
