Embrace the beauty of imperfection. We are thrilled to announce an intimate Kintsugi Workshop in Katsute100 Broadway Market. Kintsugi (金継ぎ) is the centuries-old Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with lacquer dusted with gold. In this session, you will learn the fundamental skills of this beautiful and meditative craft allowing you to give broken items new life. For this workshop, you will use proper urushi lacquer sourced from Japan, and you will be working on ceramic pieces also from Japan. As a special treat, your workshop fee also includes: 🍵 A complimentary drink and artisanal Wagashi. Spaces are strictly limited to ensure a high-quality, hands-on experience. Please note: The base workshop fee covers a high quality food safe gold/silver effect finish. If you wish to use genuine 18k gold powder for your repair, there will be an additional £20 material charge payable on the day.
